This is a very hard announcement to make. For 7 years we have brought the Blue to The mountain at Minturn. After working very hard to find the staff we need to pull off another season and finding certain logistics this year hard to find solutions for, as well as the need to focus on the main operation in Austin which is currently on the verge of its next growth spurt with exciting new things on the horizon, we have decided to take this summer off from bringing the Blue Starlite to the High Rockies. As the owner of the Blue it is so hard to except that this is what must happen. One of my personal favorite times of year are the weeks I get to open our Blue under a giant mountain in the cool crisp Colorado Air. Please stay tuned because there is still the chance we will bring a few nights of Movies under the stars to Minturn MID JULY in some form. We just cant bring the BIG Drive-in Operation for 6-8 weeks as we have in the past. I am hopeful that next year we can bring back the usual production to the mountain and this year will just end up being a one time summer break for Blue. More to come Stay Tuned!
