Join us as we kick off our Spring 2013 season at the Blue Starlite with three special theme nights leading up to SXSW.
First on March 7, we celebrate Texas Native, Henry Thomas who the same night will be honored at the TX. Film Hall of Fame on March 7. On this night we will screen the family fave E.T. and Pop culture classic Cloak and Dagger (which was shot in San Antonio!)
Our Second night, March 8, is all about preparing for SXSW and Spring Break in general with Breakfast Club and Office Space!
Our third night, march 9, we screen movies to dance and sing to with Ferris Bueller’s Day Off and The Blues Brothers! So you’ll be all ready for SXSW music and for YOUR long deserved days off!
Later in the month we have our very popular Drive-in Classic night where we are gonna be all about Hitchcock! We will finish the month off with a full night of Indiana Jones!
As we move into the new drive-in year we are very excited to announce that we are bringing on a new member to our vintage fleet. A 28ft Allegro Mobile Home to be our new concession stand and Poster Lounge! Where we will sell locally designed posters for our movies from a handful of Austin’s best graphic designers and illustrators as well as Classic drive-in posters!
More exciting expansion news to come very very soon, but for now, we can’t wait to see you again in our NEW SEASON in the spring of 2013!

The Austin Film Society HAS ASKED US TO STAY! They like us, they really really like us! We are thrilled to be able to continue having a home and friend at Austin's own Movie Studio and Film Society! In the new year, we will make your Urban Drive-in experience even better than ever! We can't wait till we can announce all the NEW FEATURES that will make Austin's One and Only Drive-in the best drive-in near and FAR!
